In summary: when you are feeling good, you are upwards spiraling and allowing your desires to move towards you. When you are feeling bad, you are downwards spiraling and resisting/blocking your desires. You can’t jump from depression to joy — you have to move up the scale. You do this by finding relief and slowly reaching for better feeling thoughts. Thus, if you started to experience “anger”, you are actually moving upwards relative from where you are. No emotions are bad or shameful; they act as signposts.
